Roxanne is not part of this rescue. Helping as a courtesy. URGENT FOSTER: Meet Roxanne who is only one and has never known love. For the last 6 months of her life, poor Roxanne was forced to exist in this tiny crate. Yet, she is still a very loving sweet girl. All as she wants is human affection and loves being petted, hugged, snuggled, and even carried. She loves baths, and is good with kids. She is all most house trained and is working on her leash manners. However, she needs a very special foster/adopter to help her. She was neglected and is 20lbs underweight. She developed a sever case of Demodex Mange. Not to worry! This form is not ... (Read More)contagious, her treatment is all most completed, and will be completely paid for. Her spay is scheduled and paid for as well. A good hearted person wanted to help Roxanne, but she has two dogs, kids, and feels overwhelmed. She can't keep Roxanne any longer, nor is a chaotic environment good for Roxanne. It is preferred Roxanne is an only dog. Someone with a mellow dog and experience with room and rotating would also be nice. Roxanne needs a stress free environment in which to recover. It is preferred she is fostered in the Beaver lower Butler area (or by someone who could travel here weekly) as her vet treatments will be at Big and Easy Veterinarian Clinic. Hi! I'm Yoda. Poor Yoda has never known true love. Her people did not care about her. They never taught her anything, then dumped her at a shelter as a stray. Yoda sat in a kennel for months being passed over as she watched her friends get adopted. Things were about to change for Yoda. One volunteer noticed Yoda's great capacity to show love. She would sit for hours with Yoda. She describes Yoda as 'so stinking lovable just snuggling up in her arms'. This person decided then, she was going to work with the shelter to help Yoda. According to her trainer, she is only suited to live with puppies and submissive dogs. But a meet and greet would be a necessity. Yoda's trainer will do introductions. She does knows sit and place. She loves balls and sits and waits on command for you to throw them. She walks nicely with a head halter. She is learning lots more too! She has been living with her trainer for several weeks. Yoda will know everything she needs to know to make the perfect companion when her training is complete on the January 15, 2015. Urgent foster/forever. Hi! I'm Reno, and I'm running out of time. Reno's family describes him as a very loving snugly fun boy. He comically will walk through Pet Smart picking up and putting down toys, until he chooses just the right one. Despite this idealic life, he didn't get off to the best start in life. He was kept crated 24/7 by an unscrupulous breeder, until he escaped into the arms of a his loving family who are heartbroken. They are going through life changes and can't keep Reno. Reno has been through so much at only 1yr 8mo. He is looking for a family who can finally love him forever. He is UTD and neutered. He is housebroken, ... (Read More)knows sit, down, and doesn't beg at the table. He loves to sleep and snuggle with his humans. His next favorite things are his car rides and balls. Especially, balls! Careful! He will even jump out the car window if he sees a ball. Because of his past being crated so many hours, he hates crates. He doesn't chew household items, so it is fine for him to enjoy his freedom. He does have allergies and is on Iams fish diet. He also takes steroids, which are relatively inexpensive. Reno was assessed and is dog friendly. No cats, please! He does fine with children but not realizing his size has knocked little ones over. Thus, He would be best with children 9 or older. Reno knows he only has until February 15th. He also knows he can't go to shelter and be caged again. He wouldn't do well, and we all know what this means. Please help me. I'm too cut and young to die.
